Hi I'm Alan

I'm an inventor-business manager. I'm a Christian, father of 5, grandfather to 10, a faithful husband and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am preparing for a second church mission this time to Rosario, Argentina as a service mission in a self-reliance center. This time with my wife! Very exciting. I love to work, enjoy playing oldies on the guitar, caring after my bonsai trees, mountain biking in the hills of Draper and Park City, Utah and love to snow ski when I get the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I've was blessed with a believing heart and never really doubted the truthfulness of the restored gospel and it's powerful message. However, my testimony became my own once challenged during my 2-year mission to Cordoba, Argentina shortly after attending my first year at the University of Utah. I've observed over the years as we have raised our family, that those who embrace the principles and ordinances of the restored gospel are greatly blessed. I've certainly seen this in my own life. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that they love us more than we can comprehend.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Family History Consultant helping others in our neighborhood learn more about themselves by connecting with their ancestors. I help them get logged on to FamilySearch.org and try to get them excited about seeking out their ancestors. It's a lot of fun. I also teach a stake mission prep class to younger people who are planning to serve a full-time mission. We explore all the lessons from the "Preach My Gospel" manual and guide. It's really awesome to see how prepared these young people are to go throughout the world and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Besides these callings, I find joy in being social and a good neighbor and friend to those around me.
