Hi I'm Austin Mitchell

I've lived in Northern California my whole life, I love hanging out with my friends, my true passion is basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are exercising and playing basketball. I was going to college up at BYU Idaho, but I am know back and currently working on finishing up my mission papers. I am looking into studying Paramedicine/ Emergency services. I am the oldest of 4 kids and overall I just love being active.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. My parents are Mormon and their parents were Mormon. I choose to be a member of this church because there is no doubt in my mind that this is true. Everyone in this church converted at age 20 or born into the church have to be personally converted themselves. It's not enough to just say I believe, being in this church is a constant growing process both spiritually and mentally. I know this church is the true church on the earth today because I have felt the spirit tell me that what I am participating in is right. I know Joseph Smith the one who helped restore this church is a true prophet. I know that the book of Mormon is true and correct and it can greatly influence our lives. Most importantly I know that Christ lives I know that he bled from every pore so that I may have the ability to repent and become clean. I know that Christ died for me and rose 3 days later so that I may live again. I know he will never leave my side, these things I know for a surety in the name of my beloved savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try my best to participate in all the activities that I can in my ward. At the moment right now I don't have a church calling, but I try to be very active in the 18 and up group that I attend. I try my best to do all my home teaching and visiting teaching to show the members in my ward that I care about them and that I am there for them. To me there's a difference in being a member and an active member in our church. It's not enough to just do the minimum.
