Hi I'm K-Ray

I'm a California girl who loves the ocean and her family. Music and the Lord are my biggest passions in this life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 22 year old girl who is living the dream here at college. My studies are centered on families and how we can help them to flourish. I hope someday to be a therapist or social worker. Music is one of my passions and I find it to be one of the greatest sources of happiness. But the number one priority in my life is my family. I was blessed to be raised in a family of 7 boys. Yes, that's right. I have 7 brothers! Life has always been exciting with a bunch of boys around. We did many sports together and know how to be competitive and have fun! Life is to be enjoyed. It's really hard, but every experience is worth it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was given a very specific trial in this life. A trial that I can't really talk about but one that has tested my faith in God and in just about everything. I grew up in this church and have been told since I was little that it was the true church. I never really doubted that, but I never really knew it either. I came to a point in my life where my significant hardship resurfaced and I was faced with it every day. It became unbearable. I had no where to turn but to God and to the Savior Jesus Christ. They saved me. They listened to me. Christ healed me. Because of all that they have done I can find happiness and joy in this life. I am a Mormon because I have a loving Father in Heaven who sent His only Begotten Son to save the world. My burdens and hurts can be removed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day of my life. As members of the church we make special promises with God. One of those promises is that we will emulate the Savior Jesus Christ. Each day when I wake up I try my best to be like Him and do the things He did. Jesus Christ was the only perfect person to ever come to this earth and His kindness, gentleness, obedience to God and so many things are what drive me to be better. I participate in a group called family home evening. Once a week on a Monday a few of us college kids get together and share spiritual experiences, eat food and play games. We consider this a time to get to know each other and come closer together as a family. I have been so lucky to be able to organize and plan the activities. We are always looking for ways to serve and to become more like the Savior Jesus Christ.
