Hi I'm Haley

I was born in Virginia, but grew up in Utah. I love writing and storytelling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always loved story-telling--whether from a book, movie, or oral story. I love how they relate to our lives and give us the courage and motivation we need to have the strength to go through our lives. I'm a college student that works to pay her way through. I'm about to serve a mission to Baltimore Maryland and I am very excited!

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up in this church, my testimony and conversion continue to grow throughout my life. I believe that continual conversion takes time and effort on our part. I have a firm testimony that Heavenly Father is our loving Father of our spirits and we are his children. I know without a doubt He is in the details of all of my life. I also firmly believe that Jesus Christ is His only Begotten Son, and is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I have felt the power of His Atonement in my life as He has helped me begin to truly heal and overcome things I used to not ever think I could overcome and heal from. If you ever think you can't succeed or overcome challenges in your life, I can testify that you can. Jesus Christ not only gives me the miracle of healing, but He also gives me the hope that wasn't there before. I have hope that the future will be bright if I stay by Him. I believe this Church is true because I have felt it in my heart by the power of the Holy Ghost. All Heavenly Father wants of us is to do our part and then ask. He will always answer the prayers of those who are sincere and ask for good things. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you and they want you to know them. I know this is true because I have felt it myself. I leave my testimony with you, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love to share my beliefs on social media like Twitter and Facebook. I used to teach in the women's group of the church and I loved to get to know all the women in our ward. I enjoy serving others and helping out where I can.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is what we believe and know to be true that is gained by effort on our part to live it, and then confirmed by the power of the Holy Ghost, who testifies of things that are true. Show more Show less
