Hi I'm Marsha

I grew up in Idaho, USA. After a year of college I got married and eventually we had six beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like the out of doors, walking and watching activities of people I care about. I enjoy reading about people and places. I love being a mother and grandmother and spending time with our family. I like to do indexing for Family Search. I coached girls softball for our girls and ran the city program for 6 years, and loved playing it myself in my younger days! I really enjoyed being an elementary school librarian for 18 years. The kids are so cute. I enjoy playing golf after I get over being nervous about how bad I play,.:)

Why I am a Mormon

I was "born into this faith". But, when I was 22 I wanted to make sure I believed in it for myself and not because that is what I had been taught up til them. So I read the Book of Mormon and prayed daily to know if it was true or not. After finishing the book, I remember finding a quite spot, (while the little ones were down for a nap!) and praying that if it was a true book that I would have a good, calm feeling and if it was not true that I would feel confused, unsettled. Well, I felt sooo warm and good. I knew I had my answer. Each time I read it I learn more about my Savior, Jesus Christ and how he loves us and wants us to return to Him and to our Heavenly Father. I don't have all the answers to why things are as they are in life but because of what I do know, I have faith that Jesus will help me through - He won't take people's free agency from them, but he will do all He can to have me and you live with Him again and be happy now. This church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, comforts me and gives me hope. It can you too.

How I live my faith

I feel it important to be involved in the community and in my faith. I have enjoyed volunteering for Red Cross, Casa, the hospital and Birth Right and being in the school PTO. Also, I have learned and had fun at teaching the youth and teens in our church. Also, I have enjoyed serving the ladies in our church by visiting them, helping with food and child care and house upkeep when someone has been "down". I have arranged for the meal after funerals and helped to arrange the flowers and have visited with the bereaved one before and after.
