Hi I'm Tracey

I live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother of 5 beautiful children, 3 still living. My hobbies include reading, going to the movies,researching/organizing Family History, and being the mom taxi. I enjoy traveling, taking out the family boat, bike riding, and the Sun! I have been a mom and housewife for the past 20 years and have recently started part-time substitute teaching at our local elementary school. I love being with the children, and the energy they have.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but didn't gain a strong testimony until after the death of our 2 children. For awhile it was hard for me to go to their graves (we were blessed enough to be able to bury them side by side). But as I continued to pray, read scriptures, and serve in the church my testimony grew of the plan of salvation and I know without a doubt that my children are not in that graveyard. Their temporal bodies are, but their spirits have returned to live with their Heavenly Father. They are with him, perfected and pain free, having accomplished their earthly goals. I know because of the atonement of Jesus Christ and because of his gospel and ordinances being restored to the earth through Joseph Smith, my family is ETERNAL! Just as your family can be. I know our Father in Heaven hears and answers our prayers. It may not be the answer we want, but it is one that we need. I know I will see and be with my children again as a family. Enduring through this trial I have come to realize that through pain, and loss we may find joy again if we turn our hearts to him in our darkest times. I have not personally seen my Savior, but I have felt his power, comfort and protection. I will end with my favorite scripture John 20:29,"...blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

How I live my faith

I have worked in all areas of the church but mostly with the primary children in our church. I have taught individual classes, been in the Primary Presidency (current position), and have also been the music teacher. I have also served as a family history consultant.
