Hi I'm Mike

I'm an athlete, a singer, and a student. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I like to play many different sports but i mainly like to play volleyball and ultimate frisbee. I play the position of Libero in volleyball which is a defensive specialist. I have been singing in a choir or group since i was two years old. Music has made a huge difference in my life as I have been growing up. I am a graduating senior in high school this year and have enjoyed my math classes along with some of the science classes. I will then be going on a mission and continue on to go to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have always gone to church ever since I was little. It wasn't until about five years ago that I really thought about going to church and being a Mormon. I realized that being a Mormon and participating in the church activities has made me a much happier and better person than if i was not in the church. I have a testimony of this church. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is another testament of Christ. I know that as we read and follow its teachings that we can be able to come closer to our Heavenly Father. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet and that he recieves revelation from God today. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he translated the Book of Mormon with the power and authourity of God. I know that the power of the Priesthood is real and that it changes our lives.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the secretary in the priests quorum, which is the group of 16-18 year old boys. I help plan our activities as a quorum and enjoy going to them as well. I go every month to home teach a couple families in our ward. Hometeaching is where the holders of the priesthood have a companion and are assigned different families in the ward to visit with and help come closer to Christ. Soon i will be serving a mission for two years and will be able to serve the people of Argentina everyday. I look forward to future callings from my leaders and to fulfill them to the best of my abilities.
