Hi I'm Kayla Stewart

I was born and raised in Florida. I teach 3rd grade in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Florida. I began college in Florida, then moved to Idaho to attend Brigham Young University-Idaho. I studied Elementary Education and taught 3rd grade in Arizona. I recently moved to Utah and work at a university in Salt Lake City. I love my family with all of my heart! I have two wonderful parents, 7 siblings and 10 nieces and nephews! I don't know where I would be without them and miss them so much because they all live in Florida. I am excited that I can live with my family forever through ordinances and covenants, if I continue to keep the commandments of God. I love the outdoors! Nature is breath taking and I love traveling and exploring its amazing beauty that was created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ! In John 14:6, we learn that, "I am the away, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Because of Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice, I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. I know that God has called a living prophet in our days, (just like Adam, Moses, Abraham, and Noah) because He loves His children and wants us to return to live with Him. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Prophets of God teach us how we must live in order to return to His presence. I know that in 1820 God called Joseph Smith to be His prophet, to be our prophet. Thomas S. Monson is His (our) prophet today. I pray daily to my Heavenly Father and receive answers and comfort through prayer. I know that there is a Father in Heaven who knows me individually and blesses me when I am obedient to his commandments. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and can change your life because it has changed mine! By reading and living its principles, I have grown closer to God and know that it is true. You can too! Read it and pray to know for yourself. I did. It has blessed my life miraculously and it can bless yours too!

How I live my faith

I live my faith hour by hour, decision by decision. President Monson said, "Life by a yard is hard; by the inch, it's a cinch." I gain strength to live my faith by praying to my Heavenly Father and reading my scriptures daily. It is my relationship with Him and personal revelation that I receive that gives me courage and light. Keeping an eternal perspective of who I am, where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going after this life gives me confidence to live my faith.
