Hi I'm Sam Richards

I am currently living in Arkansas. I have 7 younger siblings and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have just graduated high school and am planning to go to college for a computer degree. Though I dont know exactly what I want to go do. Some of my hobbies are eating, sleeping. running, Ultimate Frisbee, hanging out with friends, reading, and playing video games. I listen to all types of music but some of my favorite is hip hop/rap, or some alternative rock.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. Though when I talk to my peers around me, some wonder why I believe when the church's "rules were forced on me". Yes my parents want me to be apart of my church. Though everyone who goes to the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, also known as Mormons, have to develop a testimony in the gospel (the teaching of the church worldwide). I developed a basic testimony of the gospel when I was young. My parents one night told me that if I really wanted to know if Christ was real to go pray about it that night. When I was alone upstairs that night I remember praying and asking God is this true. This feeling over came me of joy, excitement, and a huge amount of energy (especially for how young I was) overcame me. Ever since then I have tried to grow and understand the truth of the gospel. I have seen many things that shouldn't have happened which did. I always went back to prayer as if God answered my prayer then he would answer it now even if it was on his own time. Each time he let me know it was his work that made these things happen. I know he will never not answer my prayers as long as I am patient for his answer.

How I live my faith

I just live the commandment as best as I can. I read, pray, and go to church as much as I can. I love the scriptures because of the things I learn from them. I pray because I want to talk to my loving Heavenly Father. I go to church because that's where I can go and learn from others. I love the gospel and how it has blessed me and my family!
