Hi I'm Austin

I'm a missionary, forced to return due to life-altering health issues but I have learned to trust in my Savior and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm not your typical Returned Missionary. I'm not getting married anytime soon... I'm not really sure what I'm doing with my life. After serving a mission of 22 months in Northern Nevada I was required to return to my home in Utah due to intense anxiety and depression. My hope and faith for the future were shattered. My plans and dreams died with me. I'm broken and currently suffering, but I trust in Him who's plan is perfect. I gain hope in Him. I don't know what life will bring and I know that I'm not nearly as righteous and worthy as I should be, still in my hurt and my rebellion I believe in, know, and trust in Him who is mighty to save.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes sense. This church truly contains the fullness of the gospel. This church contains divine priesthood authority and power, and is organized and operated in the same manner as Christ church during his earthly ministry. We have prophets and apostles who receive revelation from God for us. Because I'm Mormon I know I can always be better, I can change, I can have a second chance. This church gives me the answers to life, he leads and guides me in everything I do. God has a plan, and if we follow it, we will make it back to live with him and our families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I don't study God's word nearly enough but I think often on the stories and the verses of inspiration, I so desire to read them and live them. I attended church every Sunday not because it's expected but because I know how good it is. I feel the peace and the love of the Spirit in my life. I fight a daily battle between choosing righteousness or wickedness.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

The restoration was needed because divine power and authority of the priesthood to act in Gods name was lost. Truth still exists on the earth in bits and pieces found in other churches, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church that contains the fullness of truth as well as restored priesthood keys and authority. Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

10% is nothing compared to the life and blessings God has given us, and the church uses this money to maintain and operate church facilities, as well as for the construction of temples, and the benefit of all people. Show more Show less
