Hi I'm Jordan Coleman

I'm 18 years old. I go to Brigham Young University and I've lived all over, but I currently live in North Carolina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my friends and my family. I'm the oldest of four children: two sisters and a brother. I go to Brigham Young University and I'm and elementary education major, so obviously I really love kids. I enjoy singing, acting, and dancing (just for fun, I'm not particularly good at any of those things). I've lived in Utah, Arizona, New York, Iowa, and North Carolina. Soon I'll be serving a mission in Tampa, Florida and I'm way excited! And yeah, that's me :)

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it's teachings with all my heart. I've been a member all of my life and I don't know where I would be without this gospel. At some point I had to believe for myself instead of just going to church because my parents wanted to, and I'm so glad to say that today I do. I know that this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, called of God, and that he restored this church on the earth. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God and that it's true. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet to lead Christ's church today. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I love Him so much. He gave His live for me so I try to give mine to Him in whatever ways I can. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Even though I'm pretty young, I've served in lots of church callings. Some of them were kind of hard for me, but they really helped me learn and grow. My favorite calling was definitely primary teacher, when I got to teach the six and seven year olds. And as I mentioned, I'll soon be serving a full-time mission in Florida for a year and a half.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Jordan Coleman
We need a Savior because we are not perfect. We're human, we all make mistakes. Heavenly Father knows this and He loves us and wants us to be able to return to Him. So He provided away for us to be able to repent when we make mistakes. Repentance is possible through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Because He loves us, He paid the price for our sins so we don't have to. We just have to do our best to follow Him and repent when we mess up. Show more Show less
