Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Holbrook, AZ. I am a student at the University of Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Zachary Smithson. I am a student at the University of Arizona pursuing a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, but that could change. Currently I am thinking of becoming a dentist, but I am also considering Computer Science. I love sports, video games, computers, camping, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a home with parents who were both members of the church. I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church when I was 8 years. I consider myself very lucky to have been born in a home where the Gospel of Jesus Christ was taught. However, I believe that I have become converted to the Gospel over time through many ways. There hasn't been one single thing that has led to me having a testimony of the Gospel. But rather, a combination of several things including: learning from my parents about the Gospel, reading the scriptures, attending seminary classes, and living the gospel have led to me becoming more converted to the church and developing a testimony of the church. However, I believe that conversion is an ongoing process and that we need to live in a manner that allows to improve ourselves and grow closer to Jesus Christ. I know that the church is true. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for each on of us so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that Jesus Christ loves each and every one of us. He is aware of us and knows how we feel at every moment of our lives. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that we have a Prophet on the earth today, just like Adam, Abraham, Moses and all of the other prophets spoken of in the Bible. His name is Thomas S Monson. I know that families are an eternal thing. I'm grateful to be a member of the church and to have the Gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

You're probably familiar with LDS missionaries. Well, currently I am serving a two-year mission for my church in Nampa, Idaho speaking Spanish. So currently, that is how I live the Gospel. Prior to my mission, I lived the Gospel by reading the scriptures and praying daily, attending church, and spending time with family.
