Hi I'm Kiu Kiu Tong

I was born in Hong Kong. I'm currently studying Public Health at BYU. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a people person. I love talking to others, and spending time with them. I love everyone around me. I also love to swim. I used to want to become an Olympic swimmer. I also love Emergency Medicine. I'm a certified EMT. It's one of my biggest passion - to help those in need in emergencies. I want to grow up and be able to help anyone and everyone around me. I want nothing more than to be able to spend my days helping and serving people around me. I'm currently studying Public Health at Brigham Young University, also minoring in International Health. My hobbies are reading, especially science fiction books. I also love doing small crafts, such as making bracelets and keychains out of rope. I also have a goal of starting my own International Humanitarian Program, targeted towards children. My ultimate dream is to become a world traveler, doing humanitarian work every where I go with my future husband, and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. I love being a Mormon. I choose to be a Mormon because I know it's true. I know that my faith, and this gospel blesses my life. I've struggled in my life with believing constantly in this gospel. I've had times when things seemed so hard, I didn't know why I should believe anymore. During those times, I tend to forget to turn to my Father in Heaven. But when I finally do, when I turn back to my Heavenly Father, all my problems becomes easier. I know that with my Savior, and Heavenly Father, I can do all things. This gospel has given my light, and it has also given me peace. Being a Mormon gives me direction, it helps me find the path that I'm suppose to be on so that one day, I can live with my Savior and Father in Heaven again. I know without a doubt that without this gospel, I wouldn't be where I am today. I've survive through some tough times only through the help, strength, and love of my Heavenly Father. He has blessed me beyond my imagination. I know that I'm a divine, and loved daughter of my Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and because of His atonement, I can be forgiven again. I know that because of my Savior's love, I can one day live with Him, and my family forever. I don't ever want to live my life without my faith in this gospel. I know that it is true. I love it with my entire being. I can honestly say that I would die before I deny my faith - that's how certain I am of this gospel's truthfulness. I stand now, and forever will stand as a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love my faith. I live it by participating in my community and ward activities. I love finding reasons, or activities to get the people around me out and about, and enjoying each other's company. I also love visiting teaching. I love going to visit the other ladies in the ward, and to be able to provide them support, and spiritual strength. It gives me great joy to be a women in my church, living my faith, and being able to share my faith with all those around me. I also love being a example to the youth, being able to share with them my beliefs, and testimony. I had the blessed opportunity to be a girls camp counselor, for 13 year old girls. It was the best time of my life, being able to wake up everyday, having the chance to share my testimony, and teach them about my faith - and also their faith. I live my faith everyday by being an example to all of those around me - by standing by my faith, and following the commandments.

What is being a Mormon like?

Kiu Kiu Tong
Being a Mormon is amazing. We as Mormon believe that our faith is the only true faith on Earth. We stand together for one purpose - and that purpose is to bring others into the gospel of Christ. Being Mormon means we are all family - all of us on this planet and universe are. And because of that, we want nothing more than to have everyone be with us, in this gospel, knowing that they are a divine, and loved son/daughter of the God of this whole universe. A Mormon also means that we follow certain rules, and certain commandments. We all have the right to choose for ourselves - we can choose to follow the rules, or to not follow the rules. As Mormons, we choose to follow the commandments given to us in the Bible, and Book of Mormon. By following the commandments, we become free, filled with spirit and love. But most of all, being a Mormon is like having hope all the time. It's like knowing that whatever happens - everything is going to be okay. Because in reality, everything will be okay.
