Hi I'm Tyler Brady

I grew up in Texas. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. I grew up in Houston, Texas. I love sports! I grew up playing soccer. In high school, I turned my attention to running both track and cross country. I was fortunate enough to have made many life-long friends and grew a lot. I went to school for a year at Brigham Young University. I was studying Biology to possibly become a doctor or dentist, when I decided I wanted to serve the Lord. I am now serving a two year mission to Turkey. I look forward to learning the Turkish language and serving the people there!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because of the joy that I feel when living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I grew up being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I didn't know for myself that it was true until I made the commitment to read the Book of Mormon and find out for myself. As it says in Moroni 10:3-5, I read and prayed to know the truth. I received a very clear answer that Jesus Christ is my savior, the Book of Mormon is true, and that his gospel was restored to the earth by Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph smith was a true prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today.

How I live my faith

I am now serving the Lord for 2 years so a lot of my time is spent studying the gospel and coming closer to the Lord. Back home, I served as a teacher for the young men that were between 14 and 16 years old. I loved that calling. I had the opportunity to help mold the young men into the men that the Lord wants them to become.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Tyler Brady
Definitely not! We believe that like it says in the Book of Mormon, "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17). Whether you are Mormon or not, we are all children of our Heavenly Father. We are here to help each other. We are all people with our own obstacles in life. Part of what brings us closer together as brothers and sisters, is helping each others overcome those obstacles regardless of religious beliefs, race or background. We believe is serving all those around us. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Tyler Brady
We believe that God is more than just an omnipotent, omniscient being. We believe He is our Heavenly Father. And just like our fathers, He loves us and wants the best for us. All we have to do is reach out to Him in prayer. He will always be there for us. He rejoices when we are successful, and He feels our pain when we make mistakes. He will always be there for us. He loves us, and He wants us to return to him. Show more Show less
