Hi I'm Trevor

I grew up in Riverton, Utah. I am going to be serving an LDS mission in Argentina. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or a Mormon. I love to music. I play the guitar, banjo, mandolin, keyboard, you name it. I really enjoy oil painting, it is one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy going hiking and being out in nature. I am planning on attending Southern Utah University when I return from my LDS mission in Resistencia, Argentina. I want to go into something business related. I love spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being about of this church truly makes me happy and I love the person it helps me become. Up until I was 12 years old, I was not a Mormon. One Sunday morning, three boys that lived near me invited me to come to church with them that day. At first I was reluctant, but then I agreed to attend with them. After my first Sunday going to church with them, I was amazed by how inclusive everyone in the ward made me feel and how welcome I was. It felt great to be there, the people made me feel very good. I decided to go again and again, and the more I went the more I realized how true the teachings were, and I started to believe in the Mormon church for myself. The truths that they taught to me began to make sense and made me happier when I applied what they said into my life. At first I felt incompetent to try to be a Mormon because everyone else had been a Mormon for so long already, but I realized that it didn't matter how behind I felt, I could be a Mormon too. After a few years of going to church, I had a solid belief that I knew this church was true. I came to believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and I wanted to follow Him more. I came to believe that Mormon church is the true church restored to the earth today. I continue to follow Jesus Christ and His teaching today because they continue to make me a happy person. The more I devote myself to attending church and doing the things Jesus Christ would want me to do, the more happy I become.

How I live my faith

How I participate in my ward is I help lead the youth in ward activities and I make sure that everyone feels included and help assist the Bishop in any way. I go home teaching with my companion, which is where we go visit families in our ward and see how each family is doing and if we can provide anything for them. I participate in my community by helping out with Eagle Scout projects and doing service.
