Hi I'm Brayden Higgins

I am from California, and am a Video/Board Gamer not surfer. I am an avid reader. Most importantly I am a Mormon

About Me

I am the youngest of seven kids and youngest of 10 including step-family. I lived in Southern California for all my life. I went to BYUI before going on my mission and studied BioChemistry. My hobbies include reading, video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and the occasional anime marathon. I am currently serving in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but was not "converted" till I was 18 and decided I needed to go on my mission. When I chose to go Satan pressured me in many ways to crumble but it was not till Thanksgiving break when I was left alone to my own devices. At that point I felt an incredible force on my body to the point where I could not eat and could barely walk. After two days of this I decided to go to the temple nearby, after I reached its grounds it was like all pain left my body. The two hours I spent there, I gained the testimony that God lives and he is there watching us.

How I live my faith

I was called as a Sunday School teacher till I was called on my mission. Currently I am serving a mission and spread the gospel to anyone who will hear our message.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Brayden Higgins
Our belief is that because of Jesus Christ we all have the ability to come back to Heavenly Father. No man can be saved through his own efforts, we don't make God indebted to us but instead we rely on Christ to forgive us of our sins and do what we cannot do as human beings. Basically if we did not have Christ's mercy, merits, and grace we would not make it back to Heaven. Though we must have faith in Christ and follow His teachings as best as we can, Grace does not eliminate the responsibility and consequence of our actions. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Brayden Higgins
Faith is a belief coupled with action, we act upon what we believe. Like if a farmer believed his crops would grow than he would plant the seeds and take care of them till they do grow. So in turn if a person had faith in Jesus Christ that person would do his best to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ. Also faith constantly grows as we follow God's commandments, live His teachings, and study out His word through Holy Scriptures, Prophets, and Apostles. Faith ultimately is our desire to follow Christ and follow His teachings with a hope that we will return back to Our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
