Hi I'm Jon

I grew up in southern Utah. I work and play with technology and enjoy helping other people do the same. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family. My wife and I now have six children of our own. I was able to find a career that allowed us to stay and raise our family in a wonderful area full of beauty and family heritage. I enjoy skiing and racquetball. I enjoy just about anything that deals with technology and I really love music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith as a "Mormon". It seems like people wonder sometimes if a person chooses a religion simply because their parents did or because they were raised that way, and I wondered that sometimes too. There was a time in my life that I took my faith for granted and for several years after I was married I just drifted along thinking that religion or faith wasn't really important. I never stopped believing in God, but I guess I just had a very narrow view of what life is. There came a point when I started becoming more aware that I was missing something in my life. I started praying that I would be able to overcome my fears and weaknesses and be able to feel the spirit of the Lord in my life. Over a period of time, my prayers were answered. I have had many wonderful people in my life that have helped me along and have been great examples to me. Even though I still look up to these examples in my life, I now know that my belief and testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior is not dependent on anyone else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best I can be for my family and for myself. I attend Sunday church meetings and always encourage the children to attend as well because I know how much it will help them as they learn and grow. I have performed volunteer service in various positions and enjoy the feeling of family as I serve with others.
