Hi I'm Scott

I am from Utah. I am an outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman and I enjoy working in the garden. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy quiet places and find great peace when I am enjoying a fishing trip with my family. My wife of 42 years is my best friend and also my favorite outdoors companion. We enjoy being together with our three children and their families and cherish the times we go camping. Most of our fishing ends up as catch and release and generally we do ok. My favorite trip was when my wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in Alaska.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it provides a complete understanding of God's plan for mans happiness and eternal joy. The covenants I have made in God's Temple provide me knowledge of who I am, where my spirit came from and a Gospel path that ensures my eternal happiness with my family. I am a member because this Gospel requires earnest work and diligence in treating others like He did. I am a member because it provides me opportunity to serve others. Knowing and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides me happiness and purpose for my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best to live Christ's commandments and honoring the covenants I have made with Him. I enjoy serving my fellowman and have served Young Men through the Scouting program and as an advisor. I have served in several leadership roles assisting young single adults, older single adults and as a leader, and gospel instructor in our local church organizations. I live my faith by being available and dependable to leaders and truly believe we are here on earth to assist and help one another return to our Father in Heaven.
