Hi I'm RandaLynn

I love music, writing, and writing music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am in high school. I love everything to do with music! I sing, play the piano, and play the violin. I also enjoy writing my own songs. I am the youngest of nine kids. I found out I was epileptic in 4th grade. It's been a long battle, but I've conquered it! Because of that experience, I've learned who I really am, and how I can rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the gospel. When you grow up in the gospel, there comes a time in your life when you need to realize the gospel for yourself. I can't just rely on my parent's, friends, or teachers testimonies. I've got to find out for myself. I think a real eye opener for me, was a rough time in my life, involving seizures. I kept asking the questions, "Why me?" I couldn't understand it. The doctor had mentioned brain surgery. To say the least, I broke down. I didn't want to go there. I have never prayed so hard in my life. I knew I couldn't do it alone. I know He answers prayers and listens. I didn't have to get brain surgery. I haven't had a seizure for more than three years. He's real. The atonement is real. I know He knows me personally. The gospel is just full of happiness that you can't get anywhere else. It's always there for you.

How I live my faith

I participate in young womans. In fact, I once organized a little party for the elderly people in our ward. I gathered pictures of them in their youth and made a little guessing game. I visited them with some of my friends. I didn't know I had so much love for them! I have so much respect for them. The party was so fun, and I still find myself visiting some of the people. I love to go to the temple. It's always an amazing experience. I try to remember the young woman theme and live it: "We are daughters of Heavenly Father who loves us and we love Him. I will stand as a witness to Him at all times, in all things, and in all places..."

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the comforter, comforting us when we stand in need of comfort. It also testifies of truth. It can help you discern between right and wrong. When we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, we are able to have that constant companionship as long as we live worthily. Show more Show less
