Hi I'm Jacob

I love running, My goal is to have my mind blown each day, I'm a Tough Mudder, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from PA but now I'm living in Orem UT going to school at UVU. I love running!!! I've ran one half marathon and hope to run a full marathon one day. I recently returned home from serving my mission in the Idaho Pocatello Mission (best mission ever). It was perfect for me. It gave me a vision and prepared me for the rest of my life. I've done 2 tough mudder events and was some of the most fun I've ever had. One of my favorite things in the world besides my family are Peanut Butter Cups. My goal is to one day work at sea world with the Killer Whales!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but I couldn't just rely on what they said. To know if it was true I needed to gain my own testimony of the Gospel. I did that by reading the Book of Mormon, going to church, and of course praying to my Heavenly Father asking Him if it was right. My testimony didn't come over night. It took some time. But as I exercised faith and continued to do those things I asked my Heavenly Father if it was all true and by the power of the Holy Ghost he answered my pray and confirmed to me the things I have taught, studied, and pondered were true. The feeling of the Holy Ghost was just a peaceful, loving feeling. It wasn't like God came down to me but the feeling gave me a sense of knowing that my Father in Heaven knows me, loves me, and that he did answer my prayer. I know he will answer every prayer. It will be in his own way and time though and we must not lose faith in Him and more importantly ourselves. I would say that is why I am a Mormon, because it gives me the peace and knowledge that My Heavenly Father loves me and will always answer my prayers.

How I live my faith

I served as a missionary in the Idaho Pocatello Mission for 2 years of my life, and now that I'm done with that I will serve as a missionary for my church for the entire world now! I live my faith by keeping the commandments which have been given to us by a loving Heavenly Father. I look for opportunities to serve others and help strengthen their faith. I know now that nothing brings more satisfaction then helping others develop a testimony of their Father in Heaven!
