Hi I'm Jody

I'm a convert. I have a collection of over 1000 snowmen. I've lived all over the United States. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stellar baker. My friends tell me that I am the best baker this side of the Mississippi. I LOVE traveling and learning the history of places. I love to sew. I sew anything from quilts to clothes to shower curtains. My mom says I am the "best seamstress around." I love kids. I have two of my own and then lots and lots that I have "adopted" throughout the years. I am a good sister and daughter of my darling mother who stays with my husband and me. My mother is a hoot. She keeps us happy and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the truth. It just makes sense. I love the Church is family orientated. I love how there is a prophet to lead us and help us with our goal in this life: to return to live with Christ and Heavenly Father again. I love how this Church has helped me gain and strengthen a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I love the knowledge that the Church has offered me about where I am going after this life, why I am here, who I am, who God is, etc. There is so much! I am still learning. I have felt so much peace, love, and joy since I have joined this church. I have been so blessed. I have had a lot more balance in my life as I have put God first. I have gained a whole Church family who I know loves me and will help me in my times of need. How I knew this Church was for me because it answered all my questions I had about this life. Everything just felt right, the Spirit confirmed the truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by supporting everyone around me. I love visiting ladies from my church. I try to reach them where they are at and lift them and inspire them to be better Christians. Something I also love about meeting with these ladies is learning from them about how they deal with the challenges of this life. I love going to meetings and learning from others. I enjoy supporting the youth as they strive to grow as people, as worshipers, as leaders, and as disciples of Jesus Christ. I have come closer to Christ as I have helped others.
