Hi I'm Tammy

I was born in Salt Lake City, and grew up on a potato farm. I taught dance for 25 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother to 4 wonderful children and the worlds best grandmother to 9 grandchildren. I love to be creative, that's why I have a passion for dance. I'm a homemaker so I indulge in cooking and sewing, especially costumes and love, love, love putting on parties! I'm a people person and I enjoy the outdoors, but the people I enjoy the most are my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm excited to share my feelings about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I chose to be a member of this church when I was only 8 years old. I have loved being a member all my growing up years. I remember being sixteen and wondering if my Heavenly Father really knew who I was and if I really mattered to him. I decided to ask him some personal questions, three to be exact and I wanted them to be answered in my patriarchical blessing. I fasted and prayed for 2 solid days and then went to receive my special blessing. After the blessing was given I felt let down because I had not gotten the answers I had put forth to the Lord. My parents thought my blessing to be wonderful and when I told them I didn't think it was my blessing and that parts were missing, they seemed a little disappointed with me. I remember praying all night that night and asking Him if he was real and am I important. The next morning the phone rang and it was the patriarch (a man who has the authority to give a blessing from our Father in Heaven) and asked if I would come back in and receive a second blessing. This is very rare to get a second blessing. I went and I received a special witness, that he lives, and that he knows us personally. All three questions were answered and I knew he knew ME! This faith has helped me through the rough bumps in the road of life. I can and will forever Stand as a witness of His faith and His church. He is real. He is out there wanting us to come unto him. Families are forever, what comfort this gives to all mankind. Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of us all and He is my everything!

How I live my faith

My community has a nickname for me, they call me the "Party Lady." I have organized many events from Christmas socials to 4th of July festivities. I adore working with the youth. I have served the young women by developing a fun but learning atmosphere at a 4 day girls camp. I've set up humanitarian projects with the youth and the older members of our ward. I love being a good neighbor to all those around me and I cherish their love and friendship. Relationships rank #1 in my book of life and I use my talents, whether it is a program, singing or listening, to help make the lives of others a little bit brighter. I try to follow my Savior, Jesus Christ, whom I love with all my heart.
