Hi I'm Kenya

I'm a Graphic Designer. I'm preparing to serve a mission in England, Manchester. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old, the oldest of six children and I am driven by a compulsive urge to create. I have always had a love for visual art and creativity, which led me to study Graphic Design at the Queensland College of Art, Brisbane. Since graduating, I have had the opportunity to work as a Graphic Designer, in a Brisbane based design studio. For the next 18 months, my career will be put on hold as I voluntarily serve as a missionary in the England, Manchester Mission. Besides Graphic Design, I love music, nature and exploring new places around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much joy in my life. The gospel allows me to have an eternal perspective. I know that this time we have on earth is not the end, there is a life after death. Since the conversion of my dad, I have been raised in the church since a young age. One can only rely on the testimony of others for so long, and it has been a gradual process that I have gained a knowledge of the truthfulness of the church for myself. Through various experiences I have come to know that I am a daughter of God. I have a father in heaven who loves me and wants the best for me. I know it is for this purpose that I am needed to serve a mission. I know that His son, Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Redeemer. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, translated by the prophet Joseph Smith. Each time I read the words of the Book of Mormon, I feel of the spirit that it brings. I know that our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. It is through these things I know to be true that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do the things that my Father in Heaven would have me do. I live the gospel by attending church, reading my scriptures and praying on a daily basis. I try to act as Christ would by helping and serving those around me. I am not perfect, but I know that the gospel allows me to constantly strive to be better.
