Hi I'm Barbara

I grew up and raised my family in Utah before moving to Washington State. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from BYU nursing school and worked for a few years. I quit when I started my family. I raised 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I enjoy golfing, reading, quilting, sewing, reading the scriptures, going to the temple and getting to know new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true. The Spirit testified to me that it is. I have found that as I live the precepts and principles taught in the Book of Mormon, the Bible and from the Prophets I am happy and at peace. Even when there are trials in my life, I am a peace through living the gospel. As I continue to study, pray, ponder and put into action the things I am learning, my faith increases.

How I live my faith

I like to participate with the people in church. We accept assignments to help one another. One of them is to visit one another each month. This has been a wonderful way for me to establish some lasting relationships. I enjoy working with the youth groups in our church. Recently I was asked to work in the women's organization. It has been a pleasure to assist the women to strengthen their belief in the Savior through lessons and work assignments. We have done community service projects which include organizing and gathering items for a women's shelter and supplying books for under privileged children to take home and own.
