Hi I'm Austin Giles

I was born and raised in California. Im a College Student. Im an avid soccer player, and Im a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a small town, and have been Mormon my whole life. I gradudated from high school, and from there, I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a missionary, I served in Peru, and it was an amzing experience. Through this experience I was able to learn Spanish, thus helping me to become bilingual. Now I am studying Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I grew up in the Church. I was born into it, and I am glad I was. I was baptized at 8, when all children are baptized, and that was probably one of the best days of my life. After that, I continued going to church, and continued learning. At about 13, my oldest brother went on a mission to Spain, and he set a great example to me. From then on, I wanted to be apart of this church and be worthy to receive all the blessings that it entails. He also set an example for me to go on my mission. I was so excited when the time came to submit my papers, and I knew that I was worthy, because I lived to the Church's standards. I recieved my Mission call to Peru, and all i can say is that I am truly honored to be able to serve the people livng there. I know with all my heart that this true is true, and I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to him so bad. I also know that the Book of Mormon and The Bible, are the words of prophets of Gods. I KNOW this with my whole soul

How I live my faith

My faith for me is something very important. I try to build on my faith daily through scripture study and prayer. Prayer is an open communication with God, our Heavenly Father. When we pray, we can talk to him about anything that is happening in our lives, we can ask him questions, and we can ask him for forgiveness when we have made a mistake. My faith grows more when I pray because I know that He is there listening to me.
