Hi I'm Robby Hair

Born and raised in Dublin, California. Loved my first year at BYU. Buenos Aires South 2014-2016

About Me

I'm probably the biggest sports fan around. I am attending BYU Provo, but will be taking a 2 year break to serve a mission in Buenos Aires Argentina!

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to follow this gospel because of the happiness it brings me. I have felt of God's love for me. I am a happier person and live a better life when I follow his commandments. This church provides the way for me to follow his commandments, come closer to Christ, and eventually return to live in Heaven with God.

How I live my faith

At BYU I was able to organize weekly activities, called family home evening, so that the people in my ward could have a support system and fun activities to do Monday evenings. I would also be a home teacher for different people. I was able to share with them a spiritual message, see how things are going, and help them in any way I could, whether it was bringing snacks by or giving them a priesthood blessing.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Robby Hair
A ward is a congregation that is arranged geographically. Here in California most of my city is a ward. At BYU, a floor of boys and a floor of girls in the dorms composed of my ward. A ward can be a great place to make friends and form a second family. A stake is a larger group. The stake doesn't meet together every week, but do some activities and meetings together. A stake is composed of multiple wards. A branch is typically formed when there aren't enough people for a ward. It is like a ward where people meet together each Sunday, but they may be lacking numbers or priesthood authority. Show more Show less
