Hi I'm Koi Cook

I grew up in Moab, Utah. I played football, baseball, and basketball for my high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports. I have played baseball, basketball, and football in high school. I do almost all things out doors such as mountain biking, hiking, and climbing. I am about to serve a two year mission and I plan to attend a local University when I return.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ that has been restored in these latter days has always brought me the most joy and happiness in my life. I can feel the hand of the Lord in my life. I know that we have an Eternal Father who knows us and loves us, and I also know that we have a Savior whose name is Jesus Christ, that has died so we can be forgiven for our sins, and has made it possible to return into the presence of our Heavenly Father. My conversion hasn't been one miraculous event in my life, but a constant pattern of happiness, joy, love, and comfort that is felt when I am obedient to the commandments and promises that I have made with the Lord. I continue to follow this gospel because of the Holy Spirit that testifies of its truthfulness, and the blessings that I have seen from living in congruence to the standards of this church. I know, I know, I know that this church is true! I know that it can bless the lives of those who have desires to live according to its teachings. I know that we can communicate with our Heavenly Father in prayer, and that he does hear and answer them. I know that if we ask God, the Eternal father, in the name of Jesus Christ, and having a sincere heart, and pray with real intent, and have FAITH in Christ, he will manifest the Truth of All things unto us by the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that if we just strive to do what's right in the gospel, not having to be perfect, but repenting of our sins along the way, we will find the greatest source of Happiness/ Joy in this life! God loves us! I can feel it. He does live and has made a very special, specific, and unique plan for all of us! A plan that leads back to Him and Eternal happiness. I know that families can be together forever! There is a life after death that we can spend with our families if we so choose to follow God's commandments. This gospel is one of Happiness! God wants us to be happy! I know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I have been active in my church for all my life. I have sat in lessons with missionaries for friends in my area. I have participated in many service projects with the church, such as picking up trash along roads, fixing drive ways, and shoveling snow. On Sundays i would occasionally visit and serve the elderly that can't make it to the Sunday meetings. I love serving others and making people happy! I have had the opportunity to lead discussions in my ward and teach younger kids. I have also had the opportunity to show by actions my beliefs in sports, by setting an example of what we believe in and know to be true.
