Hi I'm Stephen

I am 22. I worked 3 yrs. in a cabinet shop. I like studying the Japanese, writing stories, and making people laugh; I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in a small town. After graduation from high school I worked in a custom cabinet shop for 3 years. I like studying about the Japanese culture and language and even spent a week in Japan. I enjoy hunting, fishing, traveling, playing "Magic" (a card game), being with my friends and spending time with my family. l I like writing stories and hope to one day publish them. I once grew my hair 13" to donate to "Locks of Love" for wigs for cancer patients. I enjoy watching funny shows even the "Oldies" like Abbott and Costello. I can repeat most all of "Who's On First" from memory. I am 22 years old and leaving on my mission soon. I know this is the right time for me to serve. I am a little scared to leave my family but I am excited to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was raised in the gospel by my parents. I went to church as long as I can remember. I felt good there and felt the spirit. I have struggled at times with going to church because I have some attention deficits and long meetings are hard for me. As I got older, I came to a cross-road in my life and had to decide to either stay in the church or live in the world. I had some friends who lived in the world and their lives were different from mine. I have seen how living the gospel can bring about so many blessing and happiness into a persons life. I wanted those blessings and happiness in my life and knew this was the way I should go. I am ready to serve the Lord for 2 years and know it is the right thing for me to do at this time in my life.

How I live my faith

I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I attend church weekly and try to live worthily each day. I am very loyal and try to always be kind and helpful to others. I pay my tithing of 10% on all my income and pray daily. I have attended 4 years of Seminary in high school and now attend a Missionary Preparation Class every Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. for the past year. I am leaving soon to serve a full-time mission because I know it is my time to serve the Lord. Because I have been given much, I too must give.
