Hi I'm Benji

I grew up in Idaho. I am currently attending Brigham Young University - Idaho. I am a proud and faithful Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a junior in college seeking a degree in Health Science. I am a runner and enjoy running multiple races a year. I am married and have one child, a baby girl, who is 9 weeks old. I also love soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Mormon church, but have not always been an active member. I didn't become truly converted until about age 22. I used to be mixed up in some things in life that took me away from feeling the spirit and living a happy and productive life. I was hanging around people who dragged me down and did not care for my well-being. I had an incident where I almost lost my life while I was dealing drugs and it completely changed my whole perspective on life. I realized the importance of living the teachings of the Mormon church that I had been taught my whole life and decided to change my life. I stopped doing what I was doing, became active again in a ward, found a spouse, got married in the temple, had a baby girl, and now I am happier than I have ever been in my life! I am a real life example of how the atonement of Jesus Christ works. I am truly grateful to be a part of this great church.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a primary teacher in my ward and I teach the 10/11 year olds. I love my calling! I am also a home teacher and I visit four families every month. The families that I teach are very different from each other, but all very faithful and loving people. I help out with the scouting organization in my ward as well and I love to serve wherever I am needed.
