Hi I'm Kathleen

I grew up in California in a non-member family. I moved to Utah and was baptized September 2008. I am a Morman.

About Me

I was baptized at the age of 58. I am the only LDS member of my family with the exception of performing the ordinances for my family members who have passed on.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and I strongly identify with his earthly mission of helping and serving others. I have seen His hand in my life many times, in both sickness and in health. When my first wife died of cancer, I felt His healing influence in my grief as well as encouragement in finding another wonderful companion with whom to share the remainder of my life. I am very grateful for the knowledge which His teachings bring to me, and how they influence me to live better and to share with others. I am thankful to know why we have been placed here in mortality in this temporary existence, and for knowledge of some of what lies beyond the veil of death. I am grateful for the teachings of forever families and look forward to being with my loved ones following mortality, and rejoice in the attitudes which allow me to face hardships and trials now, knowing that there is even greater happiness beyond. I know that my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ lives, and that they both love us far more than we can comprehend here in mortality. I thank them every night in my prayers, and acknowledge their hands in every phase of my life. I love the way my heart grows in desire to help others and to share my knowledge and faith with others.

How I live my faith

I belong to a group called the "Looney Loomers" which is a humanitarian group. We meet twice a month to work on various projects such as knitting hats for the homeless or people undergoing cancer treatment. We make fleece blankets for hospitals, make pajama bottoms for children who are hospitalized & send newborn kits to poor areas of the world. These are just a few of the projects.
