Hi I'm Lark

I design Children's art. I'm a bit of a farm girl. I am learning Martial Arts. I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a daughter, a sister, a friend. I am 22 years old. I love to read. My current favorite book is Their Yesterdays by Harold Bell Wright. I volunteer doing story time at the library each week. I am an 8th degree blue belt in a Western Tang Soo Do Martial Arts. I aspire to someday be an illustrator for Children's books. I worked on a small organic farm in Overton Nevada for 18 months and fell in love with farming... and goats. I hope to start my own small farm in the future. I love spending time with my family. We watch movies together, will randomly burst into singing various songs, and will have lengthy discussions. I love the Lord!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I honestly can't imagine my life without the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have found true joy and happiness in being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And wish to continue in that genuine happiness. I have gained a testimony of various aspects of the Gospel little by little, line upon line, precept upon precept. I know that Christ lives, and loves us. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is a healing and enabling gift that we have been offered. I know that The Lord hears and answers our prayers and that He is leading and guiding us. I know that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet called of God in these latter days. I know The Book of Mormon to be a book of truth and another testament of Jesus Christ. I know the hymns bring sincere peace to one’s heart. I know that The Lord will never forget me. I bare these things in Christ's name. I was once asked by a dear Jewish friend of mine "Are you really happy in being a Mormon?" I didn't even have to ponder that question out for a lengthy time. I responded with a resounding "YES!" Ever since this friend asked me this question I have pondered why I am happy being a Mormon. These are the thoughts that come to mind. The standards I have been given, the teachings I have had, the Spirit I have felt in my life. Being a Mormon is so much a part of me. I don't ever wish to remove that part of me. I love being Mormon. I love the wards/branches I have been in. I love the leaders I have had. They have taught me so much. I love the amount of service that is done, and for the love that is felt from these wonderful brothers and sisters of the church. I love every aspect of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! And I know again with such a great surety that I am Happy being a Mormon. And I will always want to continue being one.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in every action that I do. I am so grateful for the standards that have been given to me in my youth. When I was in the Young Women's program, we would recite this theme every week. "We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him. We will stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are: Faith • Divine Nature • Individual Worth • Knowledge • Choice and Accountability • Good Works • Integrity • and Virtue We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values, we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation." I still daily strive to live these values.
