Hi I'm Richard

I love music and enjoy being outside. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I have 3 brothers and two sisters. My parents have been sealed in the Temple for time and all eternity. Although most of my siblings have moved out I love talking to them and visiting them. I just finished high school and was very involved in the music extra-curricualrs there. I was in 4 ensembles and enjoyed each one of them. I enjoy playing the piano, guitar, trumpet and violin.

Why I am a Mormon

The thought that I have a Saviour, Jesus Christ, who died for me so I can have joy is comforting. I want to serve Him as much as I can to repay him for everything He's done for me. I know this church is the true church and that prophets live today. I can serve my Lord by being part of this faith. I understand that people are the most important part of eternity. We are God's greatest creations. I am a mormon because this church helps people and brings them closer to Christ and He will bring them joy. I am a mormon because there is no better way to build up other people than through the church. I have prayed about the Book of Mormon and have received the witness of its truth. I have felt the love of God in my life and have seen it in the many blessings I have. I am a mormon because of the revelation which I have received. That knowledge I cannot deny.

How I live my faith

I love to read the book of Mormon. I read it every day. I go to early morning seminary. In seminary me and other high school kids learn about the gospel and strive to acquire a deeper knowledge of it. I help the young men in my area as I am called in youth leadership. I enjoy missionary work and am currently getting ready to go serve in the Raleigh, North Carolina mission. I don't swear or drink alcohol and I try to be morally pure in everything I do. I love the gospel and try to live my life as close as possible to how I think my Saviour would live it.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Richard
As my family has lived church values our relationships with each other has been strengthened. Having faith in Christ and His atonement has brought love harmony in our home. It is only through the Atonement Jesus Christ that families can live together forever. There is nothing more bonding to me than that knowledge. As my family strives to understand that and to live the church morals we grow closer together. As we as individuals grow into better people through faith, having love in the home becomes so much easier. Contention ceases as individuals try to love their family because of Christ's commandment to love all men. Show more Show less
