Hi I'm Peggy D.

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I am a rural letter carrier for the USPS. And, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy seeing and visiting with the people I see on my route while delivering the mail. And when people receive something in the mail that they've been waiting for or that is a good surprise, it makes me smile. I love being with my family and I love holidays! I decorate for all of them and I enjoy it so much. My favorite thing is to spend time with my family as often as we can because we enjoy each other and have a lot of fun together. The saying, "Grandma's, the place cousins go to become best friends" is so true in our family. Halloween is one of our favorite parties to be together. But we also enjoy Christmas, Easter, the 4th of July...Oh I just love them all!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was born in England and my grandparents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints while they lived in England. They immigrated to the United States when my mother was 11 years old. My father's great grandparents joined the church while living in Denmark. They also immigrated to the United States. Even though I was raised in the church, I am a Mormon because I choose to be and not because my parents and grandparents are Mormon. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and His teachings. I love that families can be together forever! I know my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives and that I am a child of God. I love the Spirit and feeling that I know this church is TRUE! And that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

When people are sick or need help, I like to go see them and help them. Sometimes I take a meal over to them and other times other people in our community come to help too. I especially like it when the youth of our community come to help and we can be together doing a good cause. On Sundays, I really enjoy listening and participating in classes that teach about the Bible and The Book of Mormon. It is so neat to know that those people from the scriptures really lived long ago and learn about their lives and how it can help us today.
