Hi I'm Alexandra

I am a college student. I ride horses, love music and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Maryland but have lived all over the United States, including Ohio, Tennessee, and Idaho. I love Hunter/Jumper horseback riding, singing, playing the mandolin, violin, and piano. I like to run and rock climb and I love reading, writing, and art. I am a college student and I hope to become an editor for a publishing company. I’ve paused my studies currently to serve as a full-time missionary for a year and a half.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this is Christ’s true church: it is the same church He established when He came to earth, with the full, unblemished truths and authority. I have worked, studied, and prayed diligently in order to know whether the doctrine and teachings of this church are true, and I have come to know, as sure as I live, that they are. Through Christ’s gospel, we can receive all happiness and peace. This is possible because of His infinite Atonement. I am so thankful for the blessings of the Atonement in my life, because it brings forgiveness, strength, comfort, and ultimately exaltation. My faith is continuously strengthened as I see how closely, perfectly, and meticulously Heavenly Father cares for and leads me. I know he wants all of His children to have joy and return to his presence, so he watches over all of us. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, through the guidance of Jesus Christ, provides all the elements we need in order to live with joy and confidence in the future, strengthen our family ties, have peace, and live with our Heavenly Father and our loved ones forever. Through the gospel I have come to see more clearly every day how He is doing that in people’s lives, including my own. Even in the most difficult times of my life, including my parents’ divorce, the gospel has brought me a quiet, gentle peace that suffuses my heart. I know Heavenly Father is aware of my pain and that he vigilantly watches over me. We have experienced many miracles in our family because of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways every day. Most especially I choose to live by the doctrines we believe and abide by, despite changing world views. No matter what other people do, I try to stay true to the truths of the gospel and explain to others why I choose to live by them. The gospel brings happiness, surety of heart, and answers to all our questions. I will continue sharing these things with people because I hope they can find the happiness and peace of the gospel too. I hope to share with other people how good things can be if they will learn more about the Savior and His gospel. I hope they can come closer to Christ, to feel of His love. This is why I live my faith, and why I love sharing the wonderful blessings of the gospel--because I want everyone to find the joy they bring.
