Hi I'm Gail

I was born in the Philippines. I'm a dancer. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy, bubbly, energetic girl! I was born in the Philippines, grew up in San Diego, California and now living in Provo, Utah as a college student at Brigham Young University. I love my family and friends and love to spend as much time with them as possible. Having been born on tropical islands and raised in warm weather, I love to do anything that involves being outdoors! I am a dancer and I am currently dancing at BYU. My culture is very important to me and I love participating in other cultures. I love linguistics and learning about other countries. Being a part of the International Folk Dance Team at BYU has given me plenty of opportunities to be immersed in a rich variety of cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happier than anything else in the world! Because of this gospel, I get to be with my all of my family and loved ones for the rest of eternity. Heavenly Father has a wonderful plan of happiness for all of us, and I feel true joy. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father and a Savior who loves me fills me with feelings of peace, love, and happiness. I want everyone to feel this happiness too. By living His gospel, I hope others can see the light of Christ that radiates from me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to find opportunities to serve others. I like to be involved in community service projects and other organizations that are committed to helping others worldwide. This past January, I was involved in a 5k marathon called "Run For Philippines." The proceeds went to the filipino people who were affected by the typhoons last year. I also enjoy serving others in my ward community by visiting teaching. I love to serve others in simple ways that go a long way. Sometimes all someone needs is a smile or a friendly conversation to make their day better. I also live my faith by telling others what I believe in. Technology and social media are great ways to reach out to people. I like to share my testimony through social media and share why this gospel makes me so happy. I also live my faith my strengthening the testimonies of others. This summer, I have been given the opportunity to be a counselor at a church camp called Oakcrest, where young ladies the ages of 12-13 come and learn about their Savior and strengthen their testimonies. I am excited to share my testimony with these girls and let them know the joy and happiness that comes from living the gospel.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Gail
When we have the gift of the Holy Ghost, we are able to receive guidance and personal revelation. Sometimes in life, we are not sure what decisions to make. When we prayerfully seek for an answer, then act on what we think is the right decision, the Holy Ghost will make it known to us that we made the right decision. Often we will feel warm feelings of happiness and peace. Not everyone experiences the Holy Ghost in the same way. Some feel happy, warm feelings while others might feel a calm, quiet, still small voice. Show more Show less
