Hi I'm Trevor

I was born and raised in Utah. I love to learn, and to build things. I'm also a Mormon. I also love outdoor activities, too.

About Me

Before my mission, I just worked at a fast food place just saving up money. I haven't gone to college, but I have taken a couple of college classes in high school. I like to be in the outdoors, with hiking as my favorite activity. I am an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born in the Gospel, but that isn't why I still follow it and plan to follow it for a long time. At the beginning, I believed basically what my parents believed because they did it and that was good enough for me. Later on when I was in my teens I had started building up for myself a testimony on why the Church is true. I have felt a feeling that I know that I didn't produce it myself, and I knew that it was something that feels worthwhile and awesome to have it with you. It felt good like it was wondrous to have and something that helps you to be a better person. I have felt calmer when I have been stressed. I have also felt that everything would be okay, that I didn't need to worry. Some things that happen in this world feels like to me that it wants to drag you down till you start doing things that you would never have done. For example the way drugs can serve as the gateway for harder drugs. I feel happier and more confident as a person than I would have then if I did some of the things that happens in the world such as drugs, alcohol, immorality, along with other vices.

How I live my faith

I help teach Gospel Principles. It helps people who are new know more about the principles of the gospel like the plan of salvation, priesthood, the life of Jesus Christ, and so on. As part of that calling, I served as a ward missionary. I helped people with service opportunities, and just go around visiting people just to make sure that they are doing all right. As a ward missionary, I am normally with someone older because ward missionaries have to be in at least pairs. Because they are older than me, they can help out who we are visiting in ways I cant such as knowledge, or contacts for employment. I have shoveled snow for people because it would have been hard for them to it themselves or taken a toll on their body. Whenever someone needs help, I just try to help them. It could be moving people in or out, taking care of weeds in the garden, or lift something.
