Hi I'm Scott

I was raised in Michigan, USA for most of my life. I served a mission for the church in the Utah, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My parents joined the church when I was 6. I gained my personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel when I was 14. I am married and have 11 children and 8 grandchildren. I served a mission for the church in Utah Salt Lake City Mission.. I worked in the jungles of Costa Rica and Panama for almost 2 years. I have 4 living siblings and one deceased. I love American football and hockey. I love to go out target practicing with my wife and boys.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14, my young men's class was asked by our teacher to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I took the assignment to heart and read the Book of Mormon in only a few weeks. It was a cold winters day when I went out to fields behind our house. I knelt by fence and prayed to God about the Book of Mormon. I felt an almost indescribable feeling come over me of peace, comfort and goodness. And I felt warm all over. I knew at that moment that the Book of Mormon was true. No matter what has happened in my life since that day I have always known it was true and have never denied.it.

How I live my faith

I try to be politically active in my country trying to keep it a free and return it to the foundation of freedom that our founding fathers created. I go to church every Sunday and perform every calling (job) asked of me, by my local leaders, to the best of my abilities. I have taught Sunday School, primary (children Sunday School), been a young men's leader, a cub scout leader, boy scout leader, a clerk, a local missionary, and I am currently an Elder in the church.
