Hi I'm Maddy

I've grown up in Utah and have been raised in the Gospel. I love anything outdoors! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I recently received my associate's degree. I enjoy going to school and I am studying to one day be a physician's assistant. I enjoy all activities outdoors. I like to archery hunt, boat, and camp with my family. I am also an off-road triathlete. I love to travel and compete in triathlons and mountain bike races.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has always raised me in the Gospel. However, during high school I became inactive and didn't participate much in the Church. A year ago I experienced my own personal conversion to the Gospel. I live the Gospel because from my own experiences I know it is the happiest way to live. God gives us commandments to protect us and help us be happy. By following His Gospel we receive so many blessings. I know we are all children of our Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us each individually. I know that we can pray anywhere at any time, and if we have faith He will answer our prayers. I know our Savior lives! Through His atonement we can be forgiven, comforted, and guided back to our heavenly home. The Plan of Salvation truly is the Plan of Happiness. I know our progression does not end with this life. I am thankful for His plan because it enables us to be with our families forever.

How I live my faith

I am currently a visiting teacher in my ward. My friend and I go to a couple of ladies' houses every month and just chat and see how they are doing. We also share a brief message or lesson with them. I enjoy visiting teaching because I have built more friendships with women in my community. In a few short weeks I will have the privilege of a big calling, to be a full-time missionary! I cannot wait to get out and serve!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons do not seek to help only Mormons. We are taught to treat others as our Savior Jesus Christ would treat us. He loved and cared for everyone no matter their religion, race, or economical status. We are commanded to love one another and that includes those who do not share our same beliefs.
