Hi I'm Carol

I am an only child. I love to learn. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My parents divorced when I was 6 years old. I converted to the LDS faith when I was 19. I am a certified nurse practitioner and elementary school teacher. I have 6 children, 4 girls and 2 boys who are all married with families of their own. I have 32 grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives my life direction, meaning and great peace. Life is not always easy, and I receive great hope from reading the scriptures, praying and receiving revelation from my Father in Heaven. His gospel is a gospel of Love. When I try and do what the Savior would do, I feel great happiness. When I was 19 I began searching for meaning in my life, visiting all of the churches in my city. Each time I left a church service I felt empty and alone. When I came across the latter-day-saint faith and began listening to the missionary discussions, everything felt right. The first lesson I received was on Joseph Smith. From that time forth, I felt great peace and joy. I knew that I was being taught correct principles. I knew then and now that he was a prophet of God and that he restored the gospel of Jesus Christ as it had been originally on the earth. I also knew from reading the Book of Mormon that it was the word of God. Whenever I was worried or had a problem I would read from the scriptures and would feel great peace come in to my soul.

How I live my faith

My husband and I served a mission for our church to Cape Town South Africa for 18 months and soon we will be leaving for another mission to Scotland/Ireland with emphasis on Family History. I love to help people. I inherited my love of flowers from my mother as well as her love of quilting.
