Hi I'm Emma

I grew up on a farm in the country of Northern California. I love the outdoors- I am a cowgirl at heart. I'm a Mormon Missionary.

About Me

I am a total tomboy. I grew up homeschooled until fifth grade, so I was always running around the farm. I love sports and animals. I played soccer for many years and even coaching it. I played softball as well. In high school, I held many leadership positions, including ASB Secretary, Class President, and Rally Chairman. I was actively involved in 4H and FFA. I enjoyed going and competing (and winning) at county fairs. I graduated at the top of my class. I attended a small college for a year and a half before my mission. I am currently serving the wonderful people of Minnesota as a fulltime missionary. After my mission, I am going to go to school for livestock science. I am a daredevil. Cliff diving? Count me in. Bonfire? I'll be there. I love roller coasters, muddin, hiking, dirt bike riding, rodeos, and anything having to do with outdoors. Country music can get me through anything. Nutella is practically my life. I live for late night runs to get slurpies and candy. Thunderstorms make me happy. Swimming in the rain is the best. I'm always dancing, even with no music. I am bad at telling jokes and stories, but that doesn't stop me. I'm country and I like it that way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the gospel. There were times when I questioned my faith, but I always knew this was the one and only true church. Growing up, I believed what my parents taught me and what I learned in church. When I was in high school, I gained a testimony for myself. It has been strengthened me most through all the trials I face. I know that as I do what is right and what God needs and wants me to do, He will always have my back. He is there for me when I need Him the most. He has let me know that I am never alone, even when I feel like I have no one to turn to. The gospel is happiness and peace. Like it says in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world‍ ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome‍ the world." Our Savior, Jesus Christ has been through everything I am going through. He has felt what I am feeling. He has overcome the world, that we might have peace. I love learning about the gospel. As I study, there is no doubt in my mind that this isn't the true church. The more I learn, the more I want to learn. I know it, I live it, and I love it.

How I live my faith

Like I said, I am serving a mission. It is an amazing experience. I love introducing people to the gospel and helping them develop a relationship with Christ. When I was younger, I always strived to be a good example to all my family, friends, and everyone around me. I was the only member of the church at my school most of the time, besides when my brother and I attended the same school for a short time. I served in many callings, including seminary president, young women's president, and Sunday school president. I loved being a visiting teacher and getting to know the members of my wards. I always live high standards and try to be an example for all those around me.
