Hi I'm Lydia

I was raised in Oregon now I'm in Arizona. I love to try new things and meet new people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshmen year of college and it was fantastic. I had so much fun! When I'm not in class/church/work I'm normally with friends. I love them to death :D We went on some crazy adventures, like crossing the border, going skydiving, and watching Bill Cosby -live! When I'm not with them I love to play ukulele. It's my weakness. I got it a few years ago and I've been obsessed ever since. I'm also preparing to go on a mission in a few months. I can't wait to serve the people of Peru!!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my whole life, but I originally stayed in the church because, well, that was expected of me. When I went to college I met people who honestly loved the gospel. Meanwhile I viewed going to church, and reading my scriptures as a chore. So I prayed to God that I could feel that true love for the Gospel that they felt. After many months I started seeing a change in my attitude. Scripture study became better and better. I started to feel the happiness this Gospel brings. Now I love it. It brings my life so much more happiness then I ever had before!! I may have been a member my whole life, but that was the start of my true conversion.

How I live my faith

Ever since I turned twelve I've been in the presidency of my age group in my ward, youth program. Once I finally grew too old for the youth activities and went to college, I was called as a ward missionary. As ward missionaries we helped the new converts learn more about the church, and tried to make people investigating the church feel welcome. Now that I'm in another ward, we'll see what I get for my next calling!
