Hi I'm Aubrey Huffaker

From the beautiful state of Utah. I am preparing to serve my mission in Mozambique and Swaziland in Africa! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had such a passion to serve others. Over the past 8 years I have had the privilege of working with many individuals of special needs and disabilities in their schools and in their homes as a care-taker. I have also been a nanny for several different families, and absolutely love the joy that comes with taking care of children and my four adorable nephews. Nothing makes me happier than service. It's my hope to one day become a Social Worker and Philanthropist, so that I can travel wherever I'm needed and give humanitarian aid all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

"Not all who wander are lost"... I truly believe in this. If we haven't already, we will all get to a point in our lives where we are searching for truth. We can't keep holding on to parent's beliefs, family tradition, or the ideas of others... we have to seek and find what is "truth" for ourselves. Up until this point in my life, I have been on a journey; wandering down different paths trying to find the best choice for me. There are so many different ways of living, so many different things to believe, that often we can find ourselves feeling lost with lives lacking purpose. I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but it wasn't until I knew the dark from the light, that I really appreciated and understood what I needed most; and that is THIS gospel. There are many religions that have truth TO them, but this gospel IS truth... and I am forever grateful for receiving that knowledge for myself.

How I live my faith

My faith, and the way I live my life go hand in hand. I strive to be an example of Christ in my words and actions so that others can see Him through my light. As I serve others, the Lord sends me more opportunities to help others so that I can be the answer to their prayers. I have received my LDS mission call and could not be more excited to serve in Maputo, Mozambique and Swaziland in Africa!! I leave for my mission July 9th, 2014 and can't wait to share the wonderful blessing of this gospel to all those who are lost in the dark and searching for real and lasting truth and happiness.
