Hi I'm Andrew Tansiongco

I'm down for any and all adventures. I love sports. And I'm a huge TV/movie buff. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just an average college student always looking for ways to have fun. I love sports. My favorite: Ultimate Frisbee. I love running around so I'll play just about any sport: football, volleyball, soccer, whatever; just get me up and moving and I'll have fun. On the flip side, I also love sitting on the couch and watching TV. I follow a lot of shows and I've seen a ton of movies. I'm also pretty competitive when it comes to video games. Also love music, playing and listening. I'll listen to almost any genre; I really like both classical and electronica. Ultimately, I'll do anything as long as it sounds fun and there's other people there doing it with me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Both my parents were converts and I just grew up sharing the beliefs they had and raised me with. As I grew up in the church I always felt that this was right. I felt happiness as I lived the gospel and could definitely relate to the experiences others shared. I continued in the gospel because I knew I was content in doing so. I'm not going to lie, it was hard at times, especially during my high school years. Fitting in just somehow became what I felt was natural and more important in my life. I'm just a normal person, a human being. But being Mormon gave me a purpose and a path to follow. Being Mormon gave me a happiness to strive for. I am a Mormon because I know all that all the things I have learned in the church are true. At times it seems ridiculous that the doctrines in the scriptures and the things we learn in church can explain everything, that this is just a little too perfect; but is that so ridiculous? The church and the gospel of Christ really can be there to explain everything. There are many debatable things in this world and I like to ponder and argue a lot of them. But things in this gospel, the gospel of Christ, are plain and simple. I receive happiness from this gospel. This happiness manifests as answers to any question, answers to requests, peace of mind, purpose, friends, and in any way possible. I am a Mormon because there is happiness here. And I want to keep and share this happiness forever.

How I live my faith

The most important way I live my faith is by being an example. Most of my family does not share the same beliefs as me. Staying true to my values and being strong in continuing in what is right is challenging sometimes. But by being an example and living the way I know I should, I know, and hopefully others know, that I am living my faith. Living my faith extends from living righteously in unfamiliar environments to also strengthening the people that share my values. I love the people around me. And I like doing what I can to support them and share the happiness that I know. I live my faith by growing in understanding of God and His plan. I actively seek to grow closer to Him and to understand his gospel.
