Hi I'm Jacob Wagner

I grew up in St. George, Utah. I love working hard and being active in sports. I have 5 sisters and am the only boy in my family.

About Me

I am second oldest and the only boy in a family of 5 girls. I was born in Salt Lake and raised in St. George Utah. I attended Desert Hills High school where I enjoyed playing football and basketball. I have signed a football scholarship with Dixie State University to play there when I get back. I enjoy going to lake Powell in the summer and wake boarding. I also love being up in the mountains, skiing and snowboarding. My sister is currently serving a mission in the Philippines and will be home in December.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its what makes me happy. Simple I know but nothing in my life has brought me more joy than by following the commandments, and partaking of the atonement. Looking back on my life the time at the times when I wasn't doing the right things I know I wasn't happy. When I got back on the correct path and invited the lord back into my life and partook of his atonement I saw a night and day difference in how I felt. The commandments aren't there to restrict us, they are there to protect us from physical and spiritual danger.

How I live my faith

I love this church and gospel. I go to a school where most of the student population is LDS, saying this there is still many opportunities to be a good example to those around me and choose the right. I have blessed to have my father as my home teaching companion since the the day I started home teaching. I learned a lot and got much better at giving lessons. I feel as though the time we spent we where able to bless the families we taught and were able to serve them but we were also blessed. I have also been blessed to be able to serve as the first assistant to the bishop in the priests quorum.
