Hi I'm Katie

I am a music lover, I have been called to serve a mission in the Philippines, Bacolod mission, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University in Provo. I love music and I play the piano, viola and harp. In my family, I am the oldest of six children, with one sister and four brothers. I love people and making new friends. Other things I love include traveling, learning new things and animals. I enjoy being out in nature or engaging in activities with friends or family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I was able to gain my own testimony and feel the Lord's spirit in my life personally. Through exercising faith, reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know the truths of the gospel, I was able to know for myself that the things I had learned in my childhood were true. I know that anyone who wants to know these things can also get their own answers from God.

How I live my faith

In my YSA ward at BYU, I served in the relief society presidency as the 2nd counselor. I loved getting to know the girls in there and being able to serve them! I have grown so much through this and other callings, and I have come to love others and feel of our Heavenly Father's love for each of them individually. I also work a lot in the community with music. I especially like to play harp music for functions such as in different church functions, retirement homes and other community events. These have been such great experiences that I always enjoy. I am currently preparing to serve as a full time missionary in the Philippines.
