Hi I'm Chip

I'm from Arizona. I love music, family, and the outdoors. I'll soon be a father. I'm a music educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona and have chosen to make this lovely state my home for the time being. I went to college to be a music educator and I am now teaching string orchestra. I love my job and the opportunity I have to work with so many wonderful young people. My wife and I are both musicians. We play in the community symphony and enjoy making music with others. We will soon be proud parents of our first child! I also enjoy the outdoors. I love hiking, running, and mountain biking. I have also recently started to dabble in nature photography. God has blessed us with such a beautiful earth to experience. I served as a missionary in Uruguay. I grew to love the people in that country and had a wonderful experience sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied the teaching of the scriptures, lived the religion, taught the religion, prayed about the truthfulness of the religion, and I have felt the comfort and confirmation that this is the truth. Being a part of this faith has brought me closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. I am constantly being taught and encouraged to be a better person and a more loving, caring, individual. All this is what is important to me and has brought me much joy in my life. I hope others can find this same comfort.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a good example of a good and caring person to all of my students that I have the opportunity to teach. I am also actively involved in my local church. I teach an adult group of men about once a month at church and help organize visits and activities for these men and their families. I sing in my congregations' choir and occasionally perform on my instrument (viola) for my congregation.
