Hi I'm Amanda Chamberlain

I grew up in Oregon. I am studying chemical engineering. I love to play sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Oregon and played soccer, softball, and lacrosse growing up. I am a college student studying chemical engineering at Brigham Young University. School can be really difficult but learning is important to me. With every struggle I grow stronger. I am married. I met my husband doing an internship with Intel Corporation in Oregon. We were married in the Portland Oregon Temple in May of 2013 for time and all eternity. We love to run, bike, hike, and play sports together.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with my family ever since I can remember. Now that I am married and living on my own, I continue to attend church every Sunday because I know it is true. I have felt an assuring feeling that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He lives. I know that He suffered and died for me so that I might live again. I know that His true church is on the earth today. It was restored entirely through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it several times and prayed to my Father in Heaven to know if it is true. I know it is because of the feelings of peace and comfort I get while reading it. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of the happiness I feel when I keep the commandments and obey the words of the prophets.

How I live my faith

I teach gospel principles and doctrine from the Old Testament to adults in my class at church. Daily scripture study and prayer are important for teaching the principles found in the scriptures.
