Hi I'm Nancy

I am a mother of 6 and grandmother of 3. I am an elementary school secretary and wife of a farmer. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was raised in a very strong loving happy family of 8 children. My Dad and Mom served diligently and attended the temple often. I fell in love at a young age, married and started a family. I have been blessed to have 4 sons and 2 daughters. We currently now have two sons that are married, one daughter that is married and each has one child, 3 beautiful grandchildren. We live in a small farming community where my husband has farmed and lived his entire life. I am a secretary at an Elementary School nearby and have the opportunity to meet many new and unique people that bring their children to the school. My hobbies that I enjoy the most is anything that involves my husband and children. I love to play card games with them and my husband and I love to play tennis. Life is very busy but when I do get a minute, I enjoy reading and organizing pictures. Our family enjoys being together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel. I was raised in a family that loved each other and parents who loved the Lord and served the people around them. My Dad was a Bishop of our ward when I was a teenager. He was such a strong example of faith and service. He and my mother set the example of attending the temple. Our family was blessed because of their service. I am grateful that I was born into a family that were members of the church. I was baptized when I was 8 and have memories of a happy childhood. I have felt the Lords hands in many ways but feel that my testimony of this gospel has been strengthened as I, along with my husband have desired to have the same blessing in our lives in raising our own family. We, through trials, have learned that the Lord loves us and wants us to learn and grow from our experiences as parents and as human beings to become closer to the person He wants us to be. My mother died two years ago at what I consider a young age, 67. I loved my mother and have yearned to become more like her. This has been such a hard time for my Dad, my siblings, my children and my husband. We miss her but have the knowledge of the gospel that we know we will see her again. I know that she is happy where she is and that she is with me and our family always and that she is cheering us on here on earth to continue to live our lives so that we can be with her again. I can pray to my Heavenly Father to comfort me and to carry me when I feel that I can't go on. I know that I have a Savior who died for me, who felt every tear that I shed. I am so grateful for His atoning sacrifice for me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple.

How I live my faith

I have had the awesome blessing of having music in my life and being able to use those God-given talents to teach children of all ages songs, both by leading and by accompanying them. I have worked with many youth groups in learning songs and then performing them in front of large groups. I regularly practice with a choir ranging in ages from eight years of age to 75 years. We learn songs of praise and then sing them for our services on Sunday. I also have the opportunity to get to know people in my community by planning celebrations and coordinating events for a Pioneer Holiday that the state of Utah celebrates.
