Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Idaho. I taught the Gospel in Guatemala for two years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently married college student. My wife and I both go to school, and we are learning to live, laugh, and learn together. I enjoy snowmobiling, playing basketball, and farming. I am a construction management student, and my wife is going into biology education. We have lots of differences, but that's what makes a good marriage--putting two different perspectives together to get a better one.

Why I am a Mormon

I love our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that he loves us and that our Heavenly Father loves us too. In his church, if we live in accordance with his commandments, we can have eternal families. My wife and I were married in one of the many Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know without a doubt that if we keep the commandments of our Heavenly Father, that we as a family with our children that we will have, will be able to live forever as an eternal family in the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We have received so many blessings from being members of our Savior's church.

How I live my faith

My wife and I love being involved in the community as well as in the church. We recently have been involved in youth leadership in the church and community. We strive to help them learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we help them become better youth. We work hard to help them be prepared for the world they are faced with. We hope to always be involved with the people around us and to be good influences on their lives.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Having a mom and dad in the home is very important to the raising of children. Where possible, it is ideal that the husband can be the one who works to provide for his family. The wife where possible should be the one who can be at home with the children to teach and to nurture them. Because of illnesses, handicaps, and other things, this ideal situation cannot always be achieved. The parents in the home are both responsible for the spiritual and physical well-being of their children. It is in the home where the teachings of Jesus Christ can most effectively be taught and put to practice. Show more Show less
