Hi I'm Lydia

I love the rain. I paint. I love to play. Firm believer in good food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I believe in trying new things. Any new game, sport, place, food, hobby. I'll give it a go... with no promises on me liking or being good at it. I'm always up for an adventure or something spontaneous. My favorites I've tried so far are ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, chalk art, camping, baking, and playing the ukulele. Rain is my favorite thing in this world. I love the smell, the feel, the sound, the way colors seem more rich, I love it all!

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into an LDS family, be baptized when I was 8, and be taught the gospel all growing up. Why I am still a Mormon, as a 19 year old determined to make her own choices, is because I have tested out what I have been taught. I've received a personal witness of the truth of it. Being a Mormon is a religious lifestyle of serving, growing, and striving to find joy. I personally like having joy, it makes the rest of life seem a lot more endurable.

How I live my faith

Currently serving an 18 month mission in Seattle, Washington. While on a mission I am devoting 100% of my time to loving others and teaching them about the love Christ has for them. Another way I love to live my faith is by singing religious music in choirs putting on firesides and devotionals to bring peace to the audience hearts.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

I am the 5th of 8 children. My oldest two siblings are married and I have 3 darling little nieces. Family is how our world functions! I never have more fun than when I am with my siblings at home playing. Because of my family I've learned how to work, clean, care for children, play, apologize, forgive, plan, and so much more. With that knowledge I can go off into the world to school, the work field, and to find a husband and start my very own family. Show more Show less
